printmaking
Printmaking is an artistic process based on the principle of transferring images from a matrix onto another surface, most often paper or fabric.
My process of combing with the traditional Indian folk-art in surreal form is a unique and imaginative twists.
By incorporating elements from Indian folk-art traditions, my prints evoke a sense of cultural identity and connect viewers to their roots. The fusion of this traditional style with surrealism creates a visual language that is both captivating and thought-provoking.
I tried to portray both the harsh realities and the positive side of life, reflecting upon the challenges we face as well as the hope and resilience that lies within us. Whether it's through vibrant colors, intricate details, or symbolic imagery, printmaking in surreal style has emerged as an important medium for me to convey the perspectives on social and political issues while celebrating the beauty and resilience of life itself.
