In the realm of art, the Indian style of painting holds a special place. It is characterized by its vibrant colors, intricate details, and rich cultural narratives.
One aspect that stands out in my paintings is the use of significant colors to convey powerful messages. The use of these significant colors allow for a focused representation, emphasizing key elements that communicate deeper emotions and meanings.
Nature, weather, music, and human life are deeply intertwined and bound by rhythm. The cycles of seasons mirror life’s stages, while weather reflects human emotion—storms echoing chaos, sunshine joy and gentle rains bring calm. Music, drawn from nature’s sounds, expresses our inner states and mirrors life’s pulse. Just as nature moves in patterns, so does human life, guided by the unseen rhythm that connects all living things. In my works life, like music and nature, it is a dance of patterns, constantly in motion through poetic abstraction. Surrealism and cultural motifs shape my visual language of identity, imagination and seek spiritual meaning through visual storytelling.
One of the series is the depiction of pulling rickshaws that showcases the heritage of Kolkata a symbol deeply rooted in the city's history and identity, also portrays the determination of the poor people who happily work hard despite their challenging circumstances, my paintings represent a glimmer of optimism for a better future.
Through these paintings, I have tried to shed light on aspects that may often go unnoticed, those whose voices are often unheard.
The portrayal of such subjects gives hope for a better life and serves as a reminder that every individual has their own story to tell. These paintings serve as a visual representation of both struggles and triumphs, capturing the spirit and emotions within each detailed stroke.
For me painting is the medium to narrate stories that overcome language barriers and touch hearts across cultures.
